2007
Mr. Queen’s students call him boring. He writes a song called “Slope Intercept”. The rest is history.
2009
The first Music Notes concert ever takes place at Horace Mann Middle School in Los Angeles, CA.
Mr. D’s debut album, “Deometry”, is released at our first appearance at the California Math Council’s annual conference in Palm Springs, CA.
2010
Music Notes is invited to the New York Stock Exchange to ring the opening bell.
Mr. Q-U-E is honored by the City Council in Carson, CA for his work in education.
Our first news story, a feature on ABC7 highlighting Mr. Q-U-E’s work with his students. Look closely and you might see a cameo from Mr. D.
Mr. D’s first performance was a big one. It took place at our first Back To School Jam, where we put on a free concert and gave away school supplies...
Our first out-of-state performance took us from California all the way to Florida. Students at Ferrell Middle School appeared in two of our music videos. Do you know which ones?
2014
After releasing eight math albums, we expanded our reach by releasing our first English/Language Arts album.
2016
Mr. Q-U-E is a featured guest on Great Day Washington where he performs "Comparing Fractions" on live TV.
2019
Mr. D the artist becomes Mr. D the speaker as he delivers his first keynote address at the LA County Youth Advocacy Leadership Conference.
2020
Thanks to the success of “I Did My Homework” and “Back To School”, our YouTube page hits 1,000,000 views.
As we continue to find new ways to reach students, we hosted our first Safe Routes To School concert to teach biking and pedestrian safety (virtually, due to the pandemic).
