Safe Routes to School

Safe Routes to School - Mr. D and Mr. Q-U-E

Let’s walk, bike, carpool, and take transit to school.

Revamped for the 2025/2026 school year, our high-energy, multimedia assembly aims to reinforce school-wide and citywide Safe Routes to School (SRTS) initiatives. Our concerts and workshops feature original hip-hop songs and videos to teach pedestrian and bike safety in a fun, engaging format. Content is tailored to be age-appropriate, with lower elementary, upper elementary, and middle school versions available for assemblies.

Why Safe Routes to School?

Safe Routes to School programs aim to make it safer for students to walk and bike to school and encourage more walking and biking in our communities. Underserved communities deserve particular attention, in part because they tend to have more pedestrian and bicyclist injuries. Music Notes provides multimedia concerts, songwriting workshops, and PSA video production services to empower students to take ownership of pedestrian and bike safety messaging through songs that can be shared at school and within the local community.
